“My new leg will help me return to my job as a chef so I can continue to support my family”

MR BOUILIEN

30 years old

Accident

Bouilien is a chef, living in Phathana village, Naxaythong district, Vientiane capital.

Bouilien stopped attending school in year 5 of high school because his parents could not support three children to study at the same time.  So he decided to get a job to help his parents to support his two younger brothers to study.  Bouilien likes singing and in his free time, he sings as a part time job.  He has also worked as a chef since he was 23 years old to support his family income.

He had a motorbike accident on 30 April 2018 on his way back home from work.  The injuries to his leg were so serious, he had to have his leg amputated. He was very sad and worried about his future and his family as he could not work to support them without his leg.

He came to Rehabilitation Centre and met many people who had also lost their leg like him but were able to walk again with the help of prosthetic devices.

Bouilien received his first prosthetic leg on 13 September 2018.

“My new leg will help me return to my job as a chef so I can continue to support my family.  Thank you so much to CMR and COPE and all donors for your support”.
